One of our highest priorities as parents and a church is to teach our children about God and encourage them toward their own personal faith in Him.
Nursery: For children 3 years and under, we offer a safe, secure environment while their parents worship. In addition to caring for their physical needs, our volunteer, screened staff seeks to convey God’s love to these precious little ones through activities and attentive, intentional play. Parents receive a pager when dropping off your child, so nursery workers can contact you at any time if your child needs you.
Children’s Message: Children ages 4 – 3rd grade gather at the front of the sanctuary for a brief lesson on the worship theme for that day. The children stay in worship the first Sunday of each month to experience communion with the church family.
Children’s Church: Children ages 4 – 3rd grade leave the worship service with two teachers to share a scripture lesson specially designed for this age with appropriate accompanying activities. The children rejoin the congregation in the sanctuary before the end of the worship time. Parents are always welcome to accompany their child downstairs and to stay and observe as long as they wish.
Christian Formation Classes: Sunday morning during the Christian Formation hour, our kids 4 years old – 5th grade learn age appropriate truths from the Bible and build relationships with their leaders and other children. (September – May)
Awana: Some of our children attend the Awana program on Wednesday evenings at New Day Covenant Church, one of our Rochester sister churches. (October – April). Learn more about Awana at: awana.org
Bible Camp: The churches of our Covenant Northwest Conference, operate Lake Beauty Bible Camp, near Long Prairie, MN. At Lake Beauty, many of our children and youth experience a highlight in their spiritual growth along with lots of fun.
CHIC: Every three years, our denomination, The Evangelical Covenant Church, sponsors a national youth conference for thousands of students called CHIC –Covenant High In Christ. CHIC intends to be a catalyst that inspires Christ-like change; challenging high school students to see themselves as part of something bigger and inspiring students on the journey of following Christ.
