Welcome to Rochester Covenant Church

The DNA of Rochester Covenant Church (RCC) is mission-local and global. The church budget supports numerous missionaries who are both Covenant sponsored and independent. RCC members engage in a variety of local ministries in the Rochester area including Next Chapter, Teen Challenge, Prison Fellowship, and Interfaith Hospitality Network and serve with programs at Friendship Place and Gage School.

RCC is intentionally an intergenerational church. We love having babies and children stirring in worship and seeing wheelchairs and walkers parked alongside pews. Our church sings the old hymns of the faith and sing the new songs of young believers. We believe that the young need to experience the depth of old hymns and the old need to experience the freshness of new songs, so we sing both, in one service each week.

RCC is pretty informal and relational. We love hanging around after services to have coffee or tea and visit. Sunday worship services begin at 9:30 a.m. and a fellowship time follows. At 11:00 a.m. various classes that help us as kids and adults grow our faith. On Wednesday evenings RCC gathers in the lower level, Fellowship Hall, for a meal together beginning at 5:15 p.m.  Kids go off to AWANA, a great children’s program that teaches Bible truths, and interested adults attend a Bible Study taught by the pastor. At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, those who love to sing gather in the choir room for a rehearsal under the leadership of Dr. Ishaya Yarison.

We are a church affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church. The denomination began in 1885 and has 850 churches in over 40 countries. We are a growing, multi-ethnic and multi-generational fellowship(see video http://www.covchurch.org/who-we-are/welcome/)
