Giving at Rochester Covenant Church
As followers of Jesus, we give freely and gladly to the work of Christ and His Kingdom through His Church! God blesses us in so many ways - through new life in Christ and through the many ways He provides for our daily needs. Rooted in the ancient Hebrew Scripture's commandment of the tithe (at least 10% of household income and resources returned to the Lord), the Christian standard involves giving our first and best to the Lord's work through the church--regularly, cheerfully, prayerfully, and sacrificially. We make every effort to be good stewards and managers of the resources entrusted to us, believing that healthy and mission-driven local churches are God's way of bringing hope, help, healing and salvation to the world through Christ.
You may make an electronic one-time or repeat gift to any or all of the tax-deductible funds listed below--or contribute during Sunday morning worship or via a check mailed to the church:
Your gift helps us live out our vision to serve the world.
General Operating Fund
We encourage people to make their primary gifts to our General Operating Fund. Each year our leadership and congregation establishes an annual budget, which funds efforts to equip everyone in the church to minister to one another, our community and our world, to funding our children, youth and adult ministries, to supporting over two dozen missions and missions organizations, to maintaining our facilities, and much more. Because we're "one Body with many members," we discern and fund many ministries and initiatives together as a church family.
Giving additionally to our Benevolence Fund helps us meet crisis needs of people in our congregation, as well as people in our community, in cooperation with the Joy of Living Center in Rochester, which helps screen and coordinate giving efforts to under-resourced people in the Rochester area.
Strategic Capital Fund
Giving to this fund helps us build capacity for future repairs, enhancements or additions to our church facility. Funds will be used to purchase needed, long lasting, unbudgeted, high cost items.
Missions: Donor Designated Fund
Donations to special mission projects that are outside the annual mission budget.
Lake Beauty Camp Scholarship Fund
Every year we want to send as many kids and youth as possible to Lake Beauty Bible Camp, our regional camp owned and operated by over 50 Covenant churches in out-state central, western and southern Minnesota. These funds help kids attend camp who would otherwise find it difficult due to cost.
Needs-Based Scholarship Fund
Giving to this fund helps us provide scholarships for other church-related ministries and activities.
